Things I'm happy about today

It's a good rivalry. I get piled on here sometimes, but I've got Exie to fall back on. I do remember in the early nineties when everyone went batcrap crazy over the Braves around here and I got to say "about time you all found a team, you friggin' posers." I was about 10 at the time, lol
My oldest was born in 1983. We used to park him in his playpen in the living room as an infant, and DXH (Dear Ex Husband) would watch the Braves there, screaming at the TV. I told him that our son’s first word would wind up being the F-bomb, which it pretty nearly was.

That's really cool. The Sox fought for my fandom back then. In fact, the first Sox game I watched in its entirety, Wilson Alvarez threw a no-hitter.
tried to get in a cubs game the summer of 69 while working at resord in holland, mich. but didnt get toi wrigley in time and went to see chisox play that night. god place to stay on visit to wrigley:

I guess I forgot to tell ORB how good baseball can be for the juvenile vocabulary

That is the main reason I hate the Braves. The Cardinals always had a big following in Memphis, then the Braves go from worst to first and everyone jumped on the bandwagon.

problem with braves is that alabama A on their capand a
and that i have livded too long in brave territory
that the little caray aggravates the hell outa me
and that cards were my first love
saw a lot of braves games between 1968 and 1972. lotta classmates from atlanta and we often get outfield seats in bleacher to cheer riico carty,

favorite brave is smoltz

I saw like 6 games in 1969 at Wrigley including the Ken Holtzman no hitter and having seats once behind the Pirates dugout - Roberto Clemente was larger than life to me
