Had a department manager from a different department come up to tell me goodbye, he doesn't work weekends. He said he told them in the morning meeting they had to change something to keep people like me from leaving. He wished me the best, and said if I ever wanted to come back he'd take me in his department. Just makes me feel better that people here feel that way.
The part - 'he doesent work weekends' might be a reason to change somethingHad a department manager from a different department come up to tell me goodbye, he doesn't work weekends. I've never stayed there, but have been a couple of times for a day trip from Cape San Blas, and once from Mexico beach. I enjoyed it, other than getting stung by a jellyfish in the nads the first timeBut first, I will need to post those Norcal like pictures of the Gulf in the background and an alcoholic beverage so ORB can tell me how much I suck.
Soju and BBQ... SO GOOOOD!Excellent Exile... makes my Korean BBQ input look pale.
Ok... I traveled to Korea several times a year for a period of 12 years. First go at Korean BBQ messed me up... I ate too much of the spicy kimchi. But with time I started to focus on the beef on the grill. Some of the local sales guys knew the good place for BBQ in Seoul, and they ignored the prices... I became spoiled and soon found that the BBQ was the go to meal after to long day of meetings. We always started with a few Cass beers, some soju (a lot). And the BBQ kept coming. Soooo good! And I learned there are BBQ joints that are pretty bad in Seoul as well... a new Korean sales guy thought he was going to save a bunch of money by taking me to one of these places. After he asked me my opinion, I was able to correct his attitude and we ate great BBQ next time out. Garlic is king in Seoul... hop in a cab and you will smell the pungent order of garlic. But, grilled garlic is sooo good as well!
