Neither of the SILs are lounging by the pool. Looks like both put on a few lbs this winter.

Glad I finished my master bath refinish. The vanity was red oak stained wood with tarnished brass pulls on the drawers and doors. The two faucets are sliver. The walls had maroon flowered wallpaper like what’s still underneath where the chair goes.

Didn’t remove it. Put sheet rock mud on all of the seams, sanded down and first painted with a primer coat. You could rent a wallpaper steamer but that makes a huge mess. Or score the wallpaper with a tool made for that and soak it down with wallpaper paste dissolver, another huge mess.

Beer, lots of beer. And wine.

My house in Napa had a lot of wall paper, that was a pain in the ass.

I know what you say. Removed multiple layers of wallpaper in the master BR. Messy and a lot of labor. When the time came, replaced the sheet rock in the living and dining rooms. Found old toys and papers in the walls.
