Things I'm happy about today

I think there’s one in there. He had a 4-car race going around the lined-up ones (the infield, of course) that is hidden behind the back of the couch. I remember seeing a 4. Bubba Wallace (his favorite), the 4, a 43 (whoever’s driving that now), and another.

He also had a random police car serving as pace car during the cautions (his races have at least one wreck per lap, sometimes involving a cat.) Today one of the race cars knocked the pace car on its side, because it was in the way. We had a spirited debate about having to go to the trailer.

Me: Well, that’s breaking a serious rule there. He’ll have to go to the NASCAR trailer after the race for that.
Him: No, he doesn’t want to go, so he won’t.
Me: He can’t race again until they let him. The safety reasons are for everyone, to keep people from getting hurt and killed. Most of the drivers support the big rules, and they don’t want a crazy guy out there.
Him: He doesn’t care, he’s gonna race anyway, ‘cause he wants to.

He (grandson, not driver) starts kindergarten tomorrow. I know his teacher would be grateful for any prayers y’all might lift up. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 🏁
LOL, my oldest Grandson started a couple of weeks ago. Had a fight on the bus first day over a girl. Oh lawd.

thanks,
hardest part of his work was the publisher's insanely low word limit.
does he have a favorite roth novel?
link he might like:
https://www.philiprothsociety.org/
Our 11th anniversary is Saturday, and I ordered the book for his present (paperback, lol.) He’s a huge Roth fan (not me, I’m afraid) and has read all his books, and I’ll ask him which is his favorite then. I’ll definitely give him the link, too. President of the Philip Roth Society - that’s gotta look pretty good on the old CV!

Tell your son that I may regret this, if I sets him off on a Roth binge again! 🤪

Had a woman at the gym come up to me and ask if I was Tennessee, lot of folks I worked with called me that. I worked with her husband at the old job, recognized her after she told me who she was. She said she keeps up with us through me and him being friends on Facebook, and told me she thought I was an amazing husband for the things I post about her. Maybe cheesy to others, but it made me feel good I honestly don't post a lot of mushy stuff, except when she's sick, or anniversary or something. Just kinda made my day.

Yes. Coen brothers Movie.
Oh, we’ll definitely have to check that out!

Hubs has never recovered from me pointing out that “A Serious Man” was a retelling of the book of Job. I was like, “Dude, you’re the one who had to go to Hebrew school for five years.”
