Things I'm happy about today

Most people think of chocolate for sweet foods only.

Few have actually experienced the unbridled savory pleasure of chocolate covered bacon for instance.
I dated a guy who's family made chili with chocolate, they said it was the ingredient that really took chili to the next level. It was nasty.

For some stupid reason a local grocery doesn't put these with the other chocolate bars and puts them with baking stuff. And by the baking stuff prices standard they are high, so then they put them on sale, and then I buy them up. I love whoever the stupid person is at this store. Even if I wasn't diabetic I'd choose this over most any chocolate bar. I like it bitter till it hurts. Also pairs well with a glass of scotch, or sour mash.

Well that's as Aztec as it gets Chocolate, Chilis, and stewed meat. I dunno about their recipe, but I have found chili and meat, with chocolate to be tasty. Then again I also love Rauchbier....which is very polarizing for beer lovers, you either love "bacon beer" or hate it usually. (there is no bacon in rauchbier but it gets called that because the smoked grain does in fact give it a bacon flavor)

Then they were doing it wrong.

I make chili with chocolate, cinnamon, and espresso, and it would make you fall to the floor in amazement.

Chili >>>>> spicy meat + tomato stuff

I can't imagine chocolate in chili, but I do love chili, and chocolate. Idk about together though

It’s not like there’re giant slabs o’ chocolate running through the chili. It’s just a pinch, same with the cinnamon and coffee/espresso - just dried spice level of flavor, teaspoon-ish level. You probably couldn’t individually identify any of these three, but all together, *chef’s kiss*

I remember trying grilled cheese, and putting mayo on the bread before I fried it because you recommended. It was pretty good

And this is odd, but do people fight (playfully mostly) about mayonnaise where you all live? It's die hard here, even have about 2-3 posts a week on the county Facebook page 🤣. Dukes and Blue plate is what most fuss between. I'll use those, or Kraft, whatever is on sale is usually what I buy. Tiffany prefers the Duke brand

I honestly don't know if I've ever tried it. Pretty sure I've never bought it, but i may get some this week

I'm not a mayo Nazi. I don't think one is that much better than the other, but I prefer Hellmanns because it's a little saltier and Dukes is a little tangier. But again, I ain't gonna argue with anybody.
