Things I'm happy about today

Crue, Poison, all that crap was terrible.

Oh Okay you were one of those guys who went the metal snob route, cause you were not actually partyinga nd getting laid. So you sulked, and accused fun bands of not metaling enough.
All I can say is some of my greatest teen memories were going to those concerts, and all the hot rock chix. I think the hair thing became so bad and such an industry troupe that some of the early hair bands got a abd rap from association...but the first hair bands had genuine skill and artistry, it was just when all the labels tried to mimick it went bad. Even speed metal was closely tied to the hair bands early on.

I get it now....well maybe we can agree on testament and thrash then. To each their own.

I'm convinced everyone who hates on Bon Jovi all had a slippery when wet cassette before it became "uncool".

A girl that was a friend gave me that cassette when it first was released when I was at UT. Didn’t understand why as that was not close to what I was listening to then.

Ah Ha so you do admit to owning it.

Bet you put it right next to your Tiffany cassette you hid from your friends.

I was there in the 80s. I liked metal, not hair bands. GNR was awesome. Metallica was good.

I don't know how to break this to you, but GNR is Hair Band genre....hairband is Sunset Strip Metal....of which MC was the living embodiment in both music and lifestyle, and Poison was like the "Wish" order studio version by the industry, the MC knockoff. I agree that GNR musicallyw as better then the rest of them to almost be thir own thing. However I also will say a MC live concert Killed GNR. I remember when GNR opened for MC on Girls Girls Girls tour....and musically they were maybe better, but the stage show for MC was 200% better wilder, and crazier, and the women went nuts. I mean how much of every strip club's spin list was MC for like two-three decades. Bet they still use it.
