I know. I didn’t like GNR at first because I lumped them in with the other hair bands.

Then I listened to them.

Given the other music you are into, I think you really should educate yourself and reconsider early Crue.....the entire genre of LA Metal was changed/created because of them and RATT, and Nikki aside they are full of talant, and Nikki made up for lack of talant with total vision (he created them). I mean there'd be no GNR without MC. There'd be a whole lots of bands that wouldn't be there or sound the way they sounded, if not for their style and success...




I think you probably got turned off by the later hair metal, (which did suck) but really listen to old MC, they are legit. I think it's ironic that one of the most famous, and album/and sell out bands is underrated, but yeah I think they are frequently underestimated by music people who don't like what became of the scene, and then attach that studio crap to them. Those later bands were just knockoffs. But then you listen to the music and your like...wow that's really good, and if you ever were lucky enough to see one of their concert when they were completely off the chain it was just incredible energy.
