The entire thing was rough. She was pointing a gun at them, but it ended up being a bb gun. The reaction of the officer picking up the gun realizing it wasn't anything, breaks my heart, knowing he shot and killed a young girl who would not give up after multiple commands. I hope he was able to emotionally heal.

On a sincere note, there are some good places around here. I love our area, but Gainesville, oakwood, cumming, Buford, they're not as bad as others, beautiful areas, and booming with business. My area is more country, but growing some, and close to Helen.

TN has a high sales tax yes, however, no municipal or state income tax. Sales tax relief on groceries (or they used to) and ridiculously low insurance rates and depending on where you buy, low property tax. Auto registration is cheap also. Financially, it's better than any of the surrounding states. We didn't move back because GVG wanted to come to East TN and have the docking amenities we have here at our marina. Doesn't exist and the traffic in that part of the country is getting worse by the minutes.

As usual I'm lost?
Sales tax on groceries is being phased back in.
Nothing about cars/registation is cheap in Nashville.
CVG?, Who dat?
Where in E TN. Yeah, I much prefer E TN.
What part of the country? It's horrible in Nashville.

Is it being brought back in? I don't know. Registration in TN is a fraction of what it is in KY...a fraction. GVG is my wife. We wanted to move back to the Knoxville Area but the Covid stupidity with real estate and the lack of decent marinas along the river lead us to just stay where we are.

Edit: didn't know the Food thing was temporary. I thought it had been made permanent before we left the state in 2013.
