Things I'm happy about today

I'm driving to work. I see a truck stop at a stop sign. All the sudden the truck pulls out going the opposite direction I am. His tires squealing, truck fish tailing out of control and his front bumper hit me square in the side at full force. That was the hardest hit and will remember it forever.

This is his truck from the passenger side tht didnt make contact with me... I didn't even get to see the drivers side nor get a good look at his front end.

Damn.

My paternal grandmother’s Oldsmobile…
Shoot, our Pontiac didn't have seat belts.

And when they first came out, the buckle weighed 20 lbs or so.

Our dog would chew thoughtfully on the one in the backseat that I wasn't using.

My mother didn't regularly wear hers until I made her when she was in my car, prolly 20 years later (shoulder/seat belts by then.)

Our Pontiac was a beast, but then for some reason, never to be understood, my father started buying Dodges, and gee, they ran like crap! That was a long stretch of bad cars.

I was on a little bit of an adrenaline high yesterday evening and didn't get to sleep until 2am. Woke up at 0545 then fell back to sleep about 0710. Got woke up by the USAA Agent at 0900. While on the phone with her, people kept calling me. WTF? Finally got off the phone with her, the other calls were the adjuster x2, and the tow company.

My point: USAA ain't wastin' no time.
