Do buyers and sellers ever switch their payment terms?I am a professional cat herder.
The Inflation Reduction Act gives companies incentives to invest in renewable energy. Most of the companies do not have the overall footprint to fully utilize all incentives so IRA allows renewable energy companies to sell/transfer incentives to companies that can fully utilize them. In short, we match buyers and sellers, arrange for legal due diligence, incentive review, monitor regulatory changes, arrange payment terms, and assist in underwriting of any type of insurance needed. The buyers all have different year ends, different risk tolerances. The sellers have different levels of credit worthiness and cash flow requirements.
It's a balancing act to make sure both buyers and sellers can reach a mutually agreeable agreement while earning a small spread for yourself.
