So we have a task that has to be done every quarter. It is accompanied by an attestation saying it was completed and is correct. I have been sending it out to the folks that I was told are the correct folks. They are replying that yes they are the correct folks but they have never seen this before and what the heck is it. Clearly my predecessor just checked the box on the form without actually making sure of anything and kicked it down the road. My head hurts. This is such an overly convoluted process that nobody seems to know why it is this way or who can fix it.
