This class desperately needs some OL...

uhh, we also need some DBs and a safety or two to step up once Randolph is gone... Sutton can't do it all ... but we could use Allen and St Louis, but we got some good OL right now committed... also we will flip Richmond :D

Does anyone feel we can get some quality OL. Time is running out and we only 4 and only 2 of them are 4* other two are a 3* and a 2 *. I think this is probably one of the most talented class that can only be compared to Peyton's class but we got needs for the OL. Does anyone feel like we can get 1 or 2 more quality OL?

So we actually have 2 already on campus and 2 more committed. We lose 1 as far as I know. That is a net gain of 3. Mosely and Blair will be coming off redshirt and I think one more. Numerically we will be in a much better place. Hopefully Blair can be everything we thought he could be and we will be much better at tackle. would love to get Allen or St Louis but I really feel like we are going to be better on the line next year.

I guess it's all just opinions but after our struggles this year?
Yeah, I would have liked a class a little heavy on talented linemen.
Also a little surprised it wasn't.
I firmly believe in depth... when asked about this years struggles, we all pointed there. It seems like we are catching up but not deep enough on the line, even with the additions. Unless all of them live up to the hype.

We got 4 right now, this thread would make sense if we only had 2 or 3 committed. 4 lineman in a class is a good class. This thread sucks

Sorry, just edited the post you responded to. That sounds good but none of them can be a bust... We need depth there.

Suck it does. I mean I hear Mosley and Blair are studs, the guys that played this year will improve, and the incoming guys are all good players. This is like arguing about who is the prettiest Victoria Secret model. Find something else to opine about.

Lol. That might be a bit harsh. I believe the consensus is that the number is good as long as the talent pans out.

I'm pretty sure 247 has each of our offensive line recruits rated as 4 stars.

Idk what this is complaining about.

The same people on here complaining about the OP will be the same people on here next year complaining when the line under achieves in a game.

This recruiting class has ZERO to do with next years O line performance. If we are starting true freshman again we will be in trouble up front again.

I think we're in pretty good shape with interior O-linemen. The concern is OT.

I've said this before, but my hope (not a belief, or even a theory, just a hope) is that the coaches have seen enough out of Blair, Kendrick, and Thomas (and maybe even Sanders or Mosely) to think they can hold down the tackle positions for the next 2-3 years while the guys we recruit this year and next year develop and mature.

Thomas is not a tackle, he is a center/guard. It is one of the sad points that he was actually better than what we had than the tackles we had on the roster. We will be in much better shape. Not nearly as many people playing out of position.

I miss VOL fans with pride.

We are about to sign our second top 5 class in two years and you think we are in desperation mode?

We have FOUR 4 star linemen committed. Enjoy our success!!

Of the 10 OL starting in the Championship game, there are 4 4*'s and 6 3*'s. I will trust our coaches' abilities to evaluate and project....we all know that wasn't the last guy's strong suit with the Oline.
