This Football thing is now a Business

This week we'll see if he wins the first tough, or even close to tough game on that joke of a schedule in a conference with 3-4 good teams out of 18. I'm not knocking Cignetti, but let's tap the brakes on crowning him for beating a lot of bad football teams.

The Football Writers of America will do the crowning. National Coach of the Year. And all Cignetti can do is play the schedule He inherited .

All that have huge money bet on the spread or the over under. Only suckers believe otherwise. I’m not calling you a sucker for asking a question though.
Yep, when you see obvious missed calls and obvious bad calls, especially holding, PI, ect, you know something's up. Millions are bet every week. Vegas does not want to lose even 1 bet. GREEDY SOBS. Money begats corruption. Big money even more. The $$$ was on Tennessee, some expecting an outright win.

I’m evidence based…you have no evidence and that means you think every pro game is fixed. That just demonstrates a lack of knowledge of how the world works..I meet lots of sports fans in my business, never once heard that kind of opinion from a customer or colleague, probably because I am mostly talking with smart people but just blows my mind how common this is on message boards…but seriously man, telling rational people, “most big games are fixed” is like walking around with a sign that says, I AM DUMB

Until the season doesn't go as planned...the ln everyone wants the coach fired AND he has a huge buyout.
Without extensions and raises, you'll have a hard time keeping a coach worth keeping because good coaches have skills other teams want, so it's self defeating to have a good coach and NOT give them an extension/raise regularly. Someone else probably wants them and will get them if you don't appear to want them to stay.

If a season or two go south, like Jimbo at aTm or perhaps Napier at FSU or Kelly at LSU in the coming years, you ARE on the hook for a lot of money.

If a season or two go well and you don't pony up an extension and raise, your coach will probably get a better offer elsewhere.

Good coaches don't come along, as UT knows, very easily so letting one walk over money isn't really an option. Pay the man before someone else does.

Maybe I'm wrong but this seems to show a fairly even betting % and $ for the spread and O/U. The Moneyline was heavily GA, it seems.
