The system now is you are in the top 4 or you are out of the top 4. UT is out of the top 4. Out of the top 4 means all players with NFL potential on those teams have played their last college football game. What will the orange bowl be like when the top players on both teams are absent? The team gets 3 more weeks of practice for being bowl eligible, thats the only benefit I see.

CLEARLY…Vols should be ahead of Bama by ALL established guidelines. To try and justify why we are not becomes an exercise in futility. We can discuss this until next year’s playoffs but I doubt much will change. Deserving to be ahead of Bama and the Carolina loss being horrific can easily co-exist. But y’all keep trying.

Alabama lost to Tennessee
Alabama lost to LSU

Tennessee beat Alabama and they stomped the other team that beat Alabama.

Tennessee had a terrible loss vs SC; however that does not reflect well for Alabama…..it reflects badly…..because Tennessee still beat Alabama.

Tennessee has a better SOS
Tennessee has much better wins
Tennessee has the head to head

The ONLY excuse Bama can give is “hey we have a better loss”………but nothing in the WIN column or stats to back up being ahead of Tennessee”…….only about a loss.

so in other words its not the actual wins and losses that matter? It's not the score that matters, but how you look, not just in this game, but in the others as well that determines the winner? Oh, I gotcha

Is it because both of Alabama's losses were close and on the road? That's the only thing I can think of.

I simply showing Tennessee is/was better this year.

You looked even more dumb for making that statement…….and it really should show YOU how BAD bama is if you believed that……because they actually lost.

If for some reason bama had beaten Tennessee you have no idea how the season for either would have gone………because we’re taking about something that didn’t happen. You don’t know at that point if SC still beats Tennessee……..because everything is hypothetical at that point……same for LSU and same for bama.
