Do you know how many dbags have been elected, I would say the number is over 40.

No you should be proud of the country because of how we act!

last nite i saw some pretty classless individuals. one with a sign saying "Bush you're fired", then the group of 500 or so that ran to the white house and was chanting obama. saw some old school black panthers fists being raised in the air. it is what it is, you should see the people on my facebook from both sides, it's ridiculous. some talking about moving to another country, while others from both sides now have racial comments.

with that being said no, i'm not proud of how we are acting at this moment

He doesn't even need to do that. BPV is well aware that China is aggressively undermining the US in Africa and they are winning. The election of one they call their own to what they believe is the greatest power on Earth will seriously hurt China in trying to win the hearts of the people.

Plus, just maybe this might be what gets them to organize and become solid countries in their own right. Smaller things have happened to change the world maybe this is one plus we can hope for?

But with all the tribal division there won't China pick a side and simply play one off the other?

I won't argue with that. We know very well that the natural resources of Africa are in the sights of the Chinese. They have to find them somewhere and build a platform for projection of what they believe to be their future power.

I'd like to think you're right, but I struggle to see it.

are we even allowed to say "greatest" anymore? Won't that make all the other countries feel bad?

Don't get me wrong, the so called governments of those nations are not going to like this and China will stick with them.

But there exists the possibility the people will rise up to emulate our system more now than ever before in history. add to the fact Europe will help them right along.

I'm gonna keep saying just for the faux American, Eurotrash types that stick their heads in here periodically. I find that they love to fight over how we're idiots and don't understand the ways of the world.

Given history I would agree, but lets see where it takes us, no doubt we will be nudging it along.

idealogically greatest, but let me say this, the run into Baghdad scared the crap out of a lot of countries, more than most Americans realize, we showed such power that it is reported the upper command in China that jaws dropped and they became increasingly worried about us.

They love us right now, since we basically shoved their biggest hypocrisy down their collective throats.

Gee I wonder which ones you are talking about.

Perhaps we could hold a couple more unanimous votes?

:)

I love my country and her people.

I despise our government.

"The government is us...You and me!"

Teddy Roosevelt

"Let us never forget that government is ourselves and not an alien power over us. The ultimate rulers of our democracy are not a President and senators and congressmen and government officials, but the voters of this country."

Franklin D. Roosevelt

political speeches very rarely reflect reality.

I am so glad I am not in the military and having to recite that man's name in my chain of command and I truly feel for those that do! and for the first time in my life I am not proud of this country!

Then move to another country yahoo;however, I don't think many countries tolerate stupidity and ignorance the way the US does, so you might want to stay here after all. My fault.:hmm:

We're glad too. With an attitude like that, you aren't fit to serve this country

with comments like this, I have to assume you know nothing of the military or its demographics.

The prevailing attitude of the lower ranks against Bush I and Bush II was astounding to me. You wanna send all of those guys home?

Next, I would bet that you would find CD's attitude relatively prevalent among the senior line commanders in our military. Get over it because "you want them on that wall. You need them on that wall....."
