Thanks guys I really appreciate your kind words. I didn't intend to even bring all that stuff up. Back then we didn't look at it as a service but as a duty and honor. But I reflected alot last night and had alot of different emotions about the direction of this country and the past as well. You are right finevol, its something I dont speak of often but when someone questions my service to this country like truefan did I get pissed off. My apologies for interupting this polictical debate. Carry on!

I'm glad you did. You have done more than your fair share. You have earned the right to criticize our leadership and no one should question that.

It just goes to show he knows little of what he speaks.

And education makes you intelligent? Many peoples views of Bush tell me otherwise. He is highly educated but made very stupid decisions. You can most certainly be educated and make stupid choices. Their vote means very little.

the poorest least educated people in this country voted for obama in record numbers btw.

Yeah, some did vote for Obama for that "shiny quarter", but many of us just felt like rejecting further fascism. Tax and spend > borrow and spend more.

I respect your opinion........but if you believe the Bush years to be Fascist, if you are intellectually honest you would have to agree that from all indicators an Obama presidency will be socialist.

I disagree. Obama's successful run on a platform of gov't solutions and gov't free crap should be a big message for everyone.
