Thoughts About The End Of the Trump Reign

Donald J. Trump was (and is) an unmitigated disaster of epic proportions. He literally did NOTHING to advance our country in the right direction and, in fact, wound back the clock on virtually every important facet in our nation including health care, civil rights, trade, the environment, and our standing in the world. He's an opportunist of the worst kind, and sought to advance his own personal well-being and financial interests, while sewing discontent and conspiracy theories with his fans.

His elevation to the highest position in the nation was a complete fluke and the result of disenfranchisement and anger he stoked for the benefit of one Donald J. Trump.

He'll go down in the record books (and in flames) as the worst President in modern history, and may in time lead to the end of the GOP altogether.
Long on trolling. Short on specifics.

Par for the course.

And part of the growth was funded by government deficit spending that increased every year he was in office.

A little advice. When you suck, never bite.

I listed my thoughts on the "good" earlier in the thread. In fact, I was proud of myself for sticking to thread construct for once.

Dwayne Johnson refuses to 'concede' Sexiest Man Alive title to Michael B. Jordan

Come on, McDad. Just concede already!

Its amazing how biden is a multimillionaire working for the gov for so long. Yet the board's communists dont ask why
Because he made a pretty good salary for a lot of years and so did his wife. Anyone who makes good money and invests well should get there

It was about 6 months into his term before I came around to like him. Great economy, no stupid wars, our enemies have been pretty quiet, he forced the left to show how crazy they truly are, forced the media to show how corrupt they are. He was a fighter which I enjoyed. I was so tired of weak Rs like W, Romney and McCain. I hope his lasting legacy is to show Rs to fight the radical commies, don't take their schiff anymore. I'm not holding my breath.

Happy? Sad? What will you miss? What will you not miss?

If you hated him (like me), did he have any good qualities? I didn't agree with all of his specific actions on China, but I do think he demonstrated you can be tough on China without the world coming to an end.

Although I'm disappointed Biden/Harris will be taking over in 2 mos, a good thing is that half the country and 90% of the media will have to "do something" with their hate for the guy. I get tired of all the hate and I want to be able to watch the Evening News again

You should pass on that because it will be 4 years of non stop sucking up by the media

Heh. I'll bite.

We can start with Trump's health care "plan". GO!

The lack of a health plan hurt Republicans since 2018 but now it's not their problem. It's the Dems. Let's see what they can pass. It's on them now. If they fail they'll too pay a political price

Heh. Pass what? ACA is the law of the land. Obamacare is here to stay given the apparent 'pass' by SCOTUS. The only issue in play I'm aware of is the individual mandate which now diverges between state and federal locales.

What exactly did he say racist? I mean, I can give you direct racist quotes from Biden, but can you from trump? And I ask as someone who didn't vote for him.
Trump and his family were documented as racist as far back as 1970 when they were sued for not allowing blacks to rent their properties. What minority has he not impacted in a negative way since he's been in office?

Can you point to specific racist policies Trump implemented during his presidency?

He got rid of the mandate which was a positive.... also the right to try which would be a part of healthcare...... he has no clue how to fix the healthcare plan though.... of course neither side does right now.... if the Democrats could come up with a decent healthcare plan..... I would love to vote for that person.

What minority has he impacted in a negative way since he’s been in office ? Im not interested in first world problems like he hurt my feelings by not sucking up enough to a voting bloc , or he deported illegal immigrants. I mean real world negative impacts that other presidents haven’t . You know ACTIAL RACIST policies.

Have you heard all the things biden has said in history but even what trump got sued for back then wasn’t racist.... it was financially driven which is what everything is to trump.

What people who talk about Trump's "great" economy don't mention is:

(1) The Trump economic growth rate was little changed from that in Obama's second term, and

(2) To achieve it we borrowed more and more money.

I mentioned both. Number 2 specifically. Number 1 tangentially.

Again, it is nice to have you as a spending hawk for a little while longer. In a few months, it won't matter to you and it will be the worst thing in the history of mankind to the Rs.

What if he takes his ball and goes home. But then, inexplicably, returns by winning election in 2024?

Bet something like that has never happened though.;)
It's happened one time in American history . . . by a candidate who won the popular vote in the election he "lost."

Daca, Muslin Ban

He banned a fabric? Interesting. Didn't realize it was so important to minorities

Anyways, Muslim is not a race and neither is daca. Why would we not have an idea of who is coming to our country? Why did other Muslim nations not offer them safety first?

Maybe you think it's bad because the genocide was fueled by the previous potus? Is that better or worse than a travel ban?
