Guy on VQ just posted a quote from the AP.

CHATTANOOGA ? The University of Tennessee trustees’ vice chairman says the board is taking allegations about athletic department violations “very seriously.”

Vice chairman Jim Murphy during a meeting Friday in Chattanooga told members they can direct any questions to UT-Knoxville Chancellor Jimmy Cheek.

In the only public mention of the matter at the meeting, Murphy said the board hopes the process is as swift and painless as possible, although he added it’s “not going to be painless.”

My whole point is they averaged 73.5 pts which coupled with an elite 8 run does not spell bad offense any way you slice it. Since you are evidently the smartest vn poster ever please tell me how im wrong.

You can't tell everything by a ppg stat. That season included a 120 pt something game, yet also a 45 point game in a loss in the sec tourney. Defense, rebounding and a favorable draw led to the elite 8. A shoddy half court game, no controlled chaos and your smart ass comment aside.

Controlled chaos worked very well when Smith and Lofton were running it. I'm not saying we should go back to it. But, it worked well with that personnel.

controlled chaos is a gimmick that is easily beaten by good, disciplined teams. Most everyone with half a brain and minimum talent have learned how to break it.
