That game was much closer than it ever should've been. A young team about coughed it up and got a huge call on the road. Listening to the Vandy fans piss and moan about it is going to be some good comedy tomorrow though. Heh.
I agree. They review other stuff and last second shots. I guess they want the game not to last forever, but how many times would the game stop if they had to review one of those.
UK might struggle to make the tournament in a weak SEC. It looks like they'll struggle on the road against bad teams. The Maryland win is their best OOC win, and that's pretty sad. They need a win or two against Missouri and Florida, and I don't think they're capable of that right now.
I was pondering that as well. Even though the clock hits zero, one more second still has to expire before the actual horn goes off. Just like the last few seconds of a game, there are tenths of a second showing (0.9, 0.8). Those digits just aren't available on the shot clock.
This seems to be what happened. I'm sure somebody will verify it, either way.
