After sitting in on quarterback meetings Tuesday and then watching his team practice that afternoon, Jones did tell VolQuest.com that repetitions could become less evenly divided at the quarterback spot --- if a player's performance dictates as much.

"They're going to earn their reps, so if they start performing they'll earn their reps. If individuals are struggling a little bit, we're going to back off their reps," Jones exclusively told VolQuest.com. "Everything is earned in our program, so they're going to have to earn their repetitions."

It's coming and I would bet sooner than later

I really hope so. I think it will be very important for the WR's and #1 QB to spend max time together over the summer. They will manage it either way... but ideally you want your team's leader to be identified going into player lead workouts.

Off the record, I would bet that they would say Ferguson is playing best, especially on passing distance & accuracy; Worley and Dobbs close behind having better command of the offense but trailing Ferguson overall. Slightly behind them would be Peterman trying his best to make up the gap.

What do you mean by passing distance? I think Worley is leading at this point. All of them need consistency, but I believe Worley is tad more consistent than Ferguson.

The longer it takes to declare the winner...the shorter the window to transfer for the ones that lost out.

This^. I would bet our coaches realize this and are consciously delaying any announcement to hopefully avoid a transfer this season. Until one QB clearly emerges, it is best to have all available. If one QB steps up, I see our coaches doing what they can to aid the others in finding their best opportunity to play ball. Just no point in entertaining such contingencies until THE GUY emerges. Selfishly, I want all four to stay AND land a legit QB recruit in 2015. Transfer or not, I believe we get a top Qb in '15 class. JMO, TIFWIW, GBO, BbB, BGI, etc, etc.

If Dobbs or Ferguson starts, peterman will leave for sure.

Earlier someone, Kerbyson perhaps, said he was out of shape. If that is the main issue, then he should be much better by Summer.

Don't be surprised if Coleman Thomas moves over there. Worse case, Jackson can play tackle and Wiesman/ Crowder guard...Or was it Crowder with some tackle experience?
I'm thinking Crowder played some tackle as a freshman, but I'm not sure.

I disagree.

It cannot be overstated enough what competition can do for a program. I want all four of them constantly playing and acting like the team leader.

I would be curious to know who is taking snaps with which center. Butch may not name a QB, but watch the center depth chart and see who is taking snaps from who. That will tell you a lot.

There's a time for competition. Then there's also a time to develop the kind of chemistry that QB's and WR's need to have with each other to make those 2nd nature types of plays.

I watched this video a couple of times and what sticks out to me is Worley's release and arm strength. Compared to the other QBs side-by-side he definitely has a quicker release, except for maybe Dobbs. He impressed me as well. I think Worley has been working on his release.
