Tickets for NIT...

General admission? So if I get there early enough I can choose to sit in a luxury box?

I think this is BS. They should honor the season ticket holder and donors.

When we go to the NCAA tournament they go by priority, why not here too!?

They can't. The NIT's policy is that all games are general admission. It's not up to UT.

Thanks. There is no reason to buy a ticket until you get there if you are correct.

May want to double check time of ticket office hours for this...

But I know gates open to get in 90minutes prior. Sl as long as you go and buy your tickets about 90 minutes before tip you'll get a great seat.

They did the last two times we hosted NIT games and had the exact same setup. Not sure what's so hard to believe.

Really? Because I went to a Utah State NIT game in 2004 where they sold assigned seating.

I just don't see most of the old-guard donors standing in line all afternoon to get their usual good seats.

Not trying to jump into the middle of this discussion but I will bet many of the "blue hairs" won't attend this game because of this ticket policy.

You are wrong, other NIT teams are doing priority ticketing. This is just a UT policy

This is what the NIT people told UT the policy would be for their NIT event at Thompson-Boling Arena.

UT did not make the decision. I don't know what other sites were allowed to to.

I am guessing the NIT chooses what is the best method for selling the most tickets for each site. The GA method may sell more tickets in the long run in this market.

That's probably the reason. They can make their money back because we have such a big arena. Or it could be because they don't think fans would show up if the tickets were regular prices.

Also, me and about 8 friends are heading to Knoxville for the game right after school tomorrow.

We were wondering about free parking and when is the earliest we can buy tickets. We wanna get them as early as possible so we can get the best possible seats.

Thanks in advance for any answers!

Seton Hall plays in the Prudential Center (18k) and they're making tickets available to season ticket holders exclusively.

Free parking at the ag campus, and you can already buy tickets.

Again, the NIT dictates the ticket policy because it's their event. No idea what other sites have been instructed to do, I just know what was on UT's bid sheet.

OK, not saying you're wrong. I just think it's strange :hi:

Be happy.

I for one Don't get the opportunity to sit mid court 5 rows up every gane like thunder Thornton etc etc....

I'm glad that the average income fan will get a great opportunity so see their vols from the seats of their choice

A lot of family's can't afford to buy 5 or 6 tickets LL for a game, and not younger kids are uninterested when they can't see from the nose bleeds. This is a great opportunity for many different types of fans to witness and support their vols from the best seat in TBA.

Kind of an odd scenario, but be happy about the opportunity others now have.

I read where parking is only $5 as well. Nice idea. Not sure which lots are included in the $5 parking.
