Doing good, less wabble when she's walking, so hopefully off the walker soon. I reckon they're going to keep her on IV antibiotics until we go to California, so there's a better chance to keep infection away.@joevol33 Tiffany update.
Oh yeah, little update. We've had some hassle getting the antibiotic flush ordered correctly, because it can only come from compound pharmacies (whatever that is). The company that sends her nurse was trying to get it for her, because it would've been cheaper up front, but they couldn't do it. She finally got it situated, the insurance will reimburse us, and got it today. She started it while the nurse was there, so here we go. Between that, and the IV antibiotics, hopefully she'll be clear in a few weeks. Guy in California wants us to do another zoom next week to see how it's going.

@joevol33 you know what time it is...
She's still getting better, still scared without the walker, but we're going to try to go to a cane this weekend. Gonna work with her on the steps tomorrow. Probably gonna be a near future project, go ahead and make the steps a ramp.@joevol33 you know what time it is...
If she's willing, maybe have her use the cane inside the house, where she has lots of things to grab onto when she feels unsteady. Build up her balance, her muscles, and her confidence, and then head outside! She's still getting better, still scared without the walker, but we're going to try to go to a cane this weekend. Good idea, cause she's scared of switching, but they want her to try.If she's willing, maybe have her use the cane inside the house, where she has lots of things to grab onto when she feels unsteady. Build up her balance, her muscles, and her confidence, and then head outside!
I have very frequent vertigo, meaning crap balance when it coincides with knee flare-ups, and you'd be amazed how frightening it is to not have something handy to grab onto. Getting back muscle strength in her core and in her legs will help a ton
