Tiffany's Thread (updates and prayers, and a place where she can smack Joe in public when he needs it :)

I just had to get ugly 🤣. There's been a shift, that we knew was coming. Without telling Tiffany anything, because she was supposed to stay with him this week, her dad is off to Florida tomorrow. Florida sister is doing exactly what Tiffany thought, and he done told her to find them a house, and he'd pay for it. She'd heard something from her twin, but Florida sister's son stopped by here telling her the details. Tiffany has been upset since she found out he was going, cause she wanted to be with him this week. She thought it was just for a week until the nephew came by. She was upset of course, mostly at her dad for not telling her, and was crying telling him that. Which led to the sister (his mom) being brought up, and the medical records. I was trying to stay out of it, but he got loud with her, so I flipped. I was pretty calm until I said his papa knew how fragile Tiffany was, and could have manned up and told her himself, especially since he told her she could stay with him. Her nephew tried to get bad, telling me I better check myself 🤣, if I'm gonna say that. I asked him check what? How I'd hide something like that from the one kid of mine that gave up time with her family to stay, because he couldn't handle being alone? I was almost mad. When I first went in there, I told him to shut up, they were done talking, and told Tiffany to go to our room. I told him they could chase money, but cancer killed her, not the Dr, and none of them are going to be getting anything from her. I did get civilized, and I told him I can understand his papa wanting to get away. I can sincerely relate, but I told him I can't relate to hiding something like that from my daughter. Rationally, I get it. I get everyone is emotional, I get his mom has filled his head with crap, and out of the bunch, he's the best one, so I don't want to kill him 🤣. That said, I let him understand that Tiffany is fragile, and if her dad doesn't have it in him to tell her, then he doesn't need to be talking to her about it.
well in all fairness, you been ugly a long time
but beat somebody's ass, and don't let nobody beat yores again

Got her out to Lowes, and tgis is the vanity sge wanted. Our bathroom is small, and the one in it now is about 5 feet long, no kidding. We're wanting to open it up a bit, and sge really liked this one. It was rough though, on the way home sge said her mom would never see the work we were doing, and had a breakdown. I imagine it's going to take her a while to get to a place where she doesn't cry.1000000130.jpg

I have yet to get to a place where I never cry since my Sister died and since my Dad died. But over time I cried less and less.

Certain things trigger it out of nowhere.

I can only imagine how it feels to lose a parent, or sibling. I grew up with a cousin, his dad died in the coal mine when we were little. He basically almost lived with us, and was like a brother. He died the year before I moved to Georgia, and I've still cried over him. Had a dream a few months ago,and woke up crying. I dread the the thought of my parents passing, and I've said before, it's always in the back of my mind the reality of Tiffany's condition. Life can definitely hurt, so I try to appreciate each moment I have with the people I love.

How about losing a wife and a daughter? Like everybody’s been saying the pain never goes away but dulls a little over time.

I lost my husband 21 years ago and my Mother eight years ago and at first you cry a lot, maybe Daly and then later maybe weekly and later monthly, but there will always be triggers. It is natural to miss them and
Thank the Lord for Great memories and the times we shared together. Time helps
You ease into your new normal and I am
Thankful I still have my Dad and for the family that I still have. I am keeping Tiffany and all of the family in my prayers, I know what it's like to loose your Mother.

Little update. Her urologist says he thinks the infection can only be coming from one of two reasons. One, and this is literally my theory I've been telling everyone for a year! Scar tissue, the reason for infection is her urine backing up, instead of draining. He said there could be scar tissue grown over the pathway. The other possibility in his opinion, is just bacteria so bad, because they use part of the colon to make the conduit. Scar tissue is what we need it to be, because it can be fixed (hopefully) with surgery. If it's just from bacteria, all they can do is treat it, which obviously isn't working good. She has a tube exchange tomorrow, instead of taking them out like he wants. He needs them to do a test next month with dye. He said that should tell us if it's blocked from Scar tissue or not, and it'll help when we do go to Vanderbilt eventually. That'll likely be in June at least, since the test isn't until may 30th

How's she doing otherwise with her mother's loss and all the family drama? That's a big burden to carry.
Fair, staying away from the drama, or trying to. She's still heartbroken, she's talked about her all day, said it doesn't feel real. Weird, but it's kinda helping her having the ashes beside her right now.

Finally finished. Everything went good, gotta wait in recovery for a little bit, then go home. Hopefully next time, we can remove these tubes.
Lord Jesus I pray that you will be with Tiffany and wrap your arms around her and give her strength and comfort and give the rest of her family strength and comfort and I ask this in the Precious name of Jesus Christ Amen.
