Vandy prefers their tests be done in-house. About the only thing they let me do locally is blood work. CTs, MRIs, and such I have to travel. Thankfully Vandy has offices in Lebanon, so I don't have to go all the way to Nashville. But wait, there's more........
They actually called us on the way home, and asked if we'd be willing to come back for them to do the tests. The Dr there's wants Vanderbilt to do them, so we're going back in 2 weeks. We'll go Monday morning when I get off, and come home Tuesday afternoon.
Fair warning, @McDad definitely has ulterior motives. Watch your drink around him. You'll wake up like Ving Rhames in Pulp Fiction.Party! I appreciate the offer! She'll probably want to stay near the hospital, cause she's afraid of missing the appointment . Maybe one of these trips we could grab a bite to eat on our way through, would enjoy meeting you.
Well, her Dr wanted her to go to the er here yesterday afternoon, and her call and tell them to do treatment. She did, they gave her meds, but ended up transferring her to Northside early this morning and admitted. It's just a sucky situation.@joevol33 How is Tiffany?

Stay in touch with the Vandy doctors, and make sure they get reports from any doctors Tiffany sees. When I was diagnosed with cirrhosis, I was sent to Vanderbilt, but it was a long-term illness, and my home is in Knoxville. When I got really bad, I was admitted to UT Hospital here in Knoxville, but nothing they were doing could help me. I told them I wanted to leave, and they threatened to have me pulled from the transplant list. Come to find out, they hadn't been communicating with my Vandy doctors. They called my main Vandy doctor, thinking he would back them up, and when he found out my condition, he demanded they have me transferred to Vandy. So I was loaded into an ambulance and taken to Vandy. Fastest trip from Knoxville to Nashville I ever made as we did 90-95 the whole way. I had my transplant like two weeks later. I'm convinced if left to the doctors I had at UT, I would have died.Just a rough night, kidneys are really hurting her. Like dang clockwork, 2 weeks and here we are. Probably knocked out the candy trip Monday, can't do with infection this bad. Gotta find help soon, I know that.
