It’s a social media platform exclusively for girls to pucker their lips at their iPhone camera and broadcast it. Over and over and over. At least that’s what I got out of it when my daughter was trying to explain it to me.

And thanks to just how many people have been suckered in, my kids lost a day of learning. Most middle and high schools in my county had 50%+ absent because of a viral TikTok threat. Hearing similar from friends in various parts of the country.

I’m very anti-TikTok. It just makes me think of something out of 1984 or Fahrenheit 451.
