Our DBs rarely even look for the ball. That’s not talent that’s coaching. That has nothing to do with sheer athleticism that is 100% poor coaching

The defense was bad this season. If you think giving up 63 to South Carolina, 49 to Alabama, 33 to a awful Florida offense and being 126th in the nation in pass defense is good then good for you. I think 126th isn’t very good personally but if you think it’s good awesome. Maybe it’s not banks, maybe it’s Martinez but something is very wrong on defense either way and if they’re both back next season I expect more of the same

Only Vandy has less talent in the secondary, yet our defense was top 25-35 in several key categories

The only people who use total yards or total passing yards to evaluate a defense are people who know 0 about football or are intentionally trying to present a false narrative.

I understand that so it may be a Martinez problem. The DBs didn’t improve at all throughout the season. Usually with good coaching you see your guys improve ours did not.

Banks and Martinez are both awful I’ll die on this hill. The only defense I’ve ever seen here worse was the Sal Sunseri defense

We've had to suffer the constant complaints about the defensive coaches. Tonight, an understaffed defense missing over 2 starters absolutely played their hears out for their team, their coaches, and their fans. I think it's deserved to give the defensive coaches the credit they have earned.

I’ve liked him from the beginning…can’t wait to see him coach a more talented roster. No slam on our current players - they are all great athletes good to great football players but I remember the nineties when we had NFL talent at just about every position…John Henderson and Albert Haynesworth playing side by side on the DL…for the talent we had we should have won several national titles

Defense was very good, but the secondary is terrible. We were fortunate that our pass rush was excellent tonight.

Martinez needs to go.
