I admit I've been frustrated with the secondary. That's the one position group that hasn't seemed to improve. I think help is on the way, but I agree it's a concern.

I think 126th isn’t very good personally but if you think it’s good awesome. Maybe it’s not banks, maybe it’s Martinez but something is very wrong on defense either way and if they’re both back next season I expect more of the same

It was no secret coming into the season, during the season, and even now, that we do not have SEC caliber corners. The time of possession patterns our offense provides makes it even more of a problem, but the coaches have schemed around it, especially in the red zone. We have lost to two top 20 teams, entering the bowls, on the road. That is coaching. Recruiting and portaling offensive guys upon arrival and through year one worked on that side of the ball, this season has and will help us get some more Jimmys and Joes on the D side. Some already here, others already signed and hopefully a few portal difference makers will want to get in on our ascent up the football world where playing time is obviously there..... even some one year guys would be good while our youngsters get on board. Bet CJH has a handle on the abilities of our staff with and without game changers.

Defense saved our butts. Bend don't break, red zone shut down.

I think the jury is still out until more talent is in place. I want to think it will improve greatly with talent, but it feels like we are still too far away to tell. As long as we continue to improve defensively I will keep my optimism.
