Let me pull a Mark Reicht...I would agree if it were a rule either way... I just hate ESPN and their influence they take credit for in the process of selecting the Winner...
There is specifically a rule that says the Heisman goes to the best player THAT SEASON. If it were a career award, sophomores wouldn't even be eligible.
Spin the words as you must..... taking a freshman soph year and turning it into a career... Justify what you must. You do not have to defined him with me or anybody else... he won it... ESPN made sure of that...
He fits the Heisman mold. Great college athlete but will be warming the pine in the NFL (If he makes it that far)
I have not and will not care or watch another Heisman, New York Athletic Club, or ESPN popularity contest after the screwing given to Peyton Manning! End of the validity of the Heisman in my opinion. Now, it appears that the BCS Championship is going the same way. They have to have Ohio State, Michigan, or USC every year. Too bad they couldn't get Notre Dame in the mix!

The Heisman should go to the best player in the country, not the one with the best stats on one of the best teams. McFadden is the best player in the country.
Living well is the best revenge, Peyton has shown everybody who the best player was in that group.
