as for the award itself, this year was the 1st year in a very long time that i actually watched the whole ceremony. and as much as i don't like FL or Tebow, he deserved it and the only way to rationalize it is imagine he was on your team. he's the type of player all of us would want representing UT, and you know it.

Sorry if I got a bit hot under the collar. I just get annoyed when people root for someone like Tebow, who appears to be just a nice kid who plays for his sincere love of the game. Still, shouldn't have called people names. For that I apologize.

I could easily have seen McFadden win it and he'd have deserved it, too. Its not necessary to put others down to tout oneself. I think that is the essence of being gracious. Some folks on here (not you ho) could stand to learn that valuable life lesson.

The award is not based on pro potential. I disagree with you on it, by the way. I think he has terrific pro potential. But I confess that I am not a pro scout. Doubt you are, either. Seems to me our opinions on his pro football potential are equally worthless.

I know it's not. I've said all along that Tebow deserved it as much as anybody else. I think McFadden is a better player, but you can't argue with Timmy's numbers.

Pro scouts will say the same thing I'm saying. 6' 3", not the most accurate of passers, has a goofy-ass awkward throwing motion, comes from the same system that gave us that NFL great Alex Smith etc

Your nice kid has a penchant for over-the-top showboating and taunting the other teams' fans. If you behave like Jeremy Shockey on the field, other teams' fans are likely to despise you.

He jumps around out there like every first down he picks up is the very first in the history of football. He's a great college player, but his on-the-field behavior is too often bush league.
