Yes lets get rid of Pearl so instead of being upset by Belmont we are losing to a team of equal talent. Losing to Belmont 7-10 years ago when be just another day in the office.

Way to bring the knowledge. 10 years ago, we were in the Sweet 16 and very nearly made the Elite Eight. I'm pretty sure that team could have handled Belmont.

So you are a Jozy Altidore fan obviously and you wanna rip Pearl for underacheiving the past couple weeks but you sport someone who has been one of the most frustrating players in soccer the last few years. Jozy has LeBron-esque talent yet cannot get it done for the National team or in the EPL. Hypocrisy at its finest...

There is much more parity in the NCAA then there used to be. Belmont has beaten some darn good teams and will beat some more along the way. It is tough to beat a team as good as they are twice in a one month period. I am kinda upset with myself for dignifying your thread by responding to this garbage!

Jay Bilas went as far as saying that Bruce is an "elite" coach just 2 weeks ago!

I didn't see many screens, pic & rolls, or cutters; though.
Belmont ran some pretty plays; especially in the second half.

I firmly believe that without Pearl we're nothing. You think what we're going through now is bad (even though we beat the #7 and #3 team in the country)? We'd be back to being irrelevant without Pearl.

All of this legal stuff maybe why he is still there and coaching and why he hasn't signed the contract. I am ready for the NCAA to come one with it so we can move passed this and get out of the lime light for a little while.

Vols are 8-3 with two wins vs the top 10. Last four have been ugly, but consider that the lineup has yet to be established with the infusion of two new players---coming right after the Pitt game. Once BP finds the right mix, The Vols will improve------watch and see.
Tenn should be 11-0 and ranked # 3, but stuff happens. They will get there. Stay off Pearl's ass, remember what we were 6 years ago. We better hope Pearl is still our coach next year and beyond.

We are a perrenial top 25 team, EVERY year. It's not like Tennessee couldn't pull in a great coach. Im not saying Pearl should stay or go, but to say we would go back to being garbage if he left is laughable.
