Time to see how the team responds.

So let's get this straight.

Me saying that Bruce has tried pretty much everything with Scotty and is now being a "drill sergeant"

and saying that Lofton never took being yelled at well according to his Coach is acting like I know about the dynamics?

Sounds about right.

Yes, presuming you have any idea what Bruce has "tried" with Scotty is presuming you know things you don't.

And until I see a link to Pearl saying that, it's nothing but speculation at this point. Isn't that right?

One thing we absolutely know he hasn't tried in sitting his a** on the bench when he plays with no effort. Telling Scotty that the team will only go as far as he takes them is scary.

I might be mistaken, but he had him coming off the bench ala Brian Williams last year for a couple of games because of poor performances. If this doesn't work, the only thing left is sitting on bench for an entire game. However, I think an ineffective Hopson still opens up offense more than other options due to team's still respect him enough to put their best defender on him and focusing a lot on hi, which opens up things for others.

Granted it was lsu, Scotty responded well. Let's see if he can finally sustain it.

You can't tell anything from that game. LSU is horrendous. The Ole Miss game is going to be the one where we see if Hopson will step up.

Actually you can as I've seen Scotty play worse against worse. That being said guess you missed the part where I said granted it was lsu. He came out and played a good game after taking a number of shots after uconn game. Is a step in right direction and as I said we will see if he can sustain it.

If you think him getting up a few shots in Pratt made the difference tonight, you're sorely mistaken. He was good tonight because LSU played an incredibly passive zone that didn't even attempt to contest his shots. It will be much, much different at Ole Miss.

You, along with many others, need to accept the fact that Scotty is at best inconsistent as hell. He is what he is. the psychoanalysis after each game is going to be a toss up.

Did I dispute his inconsistency? Before you and your little buddy hijacked the thread, the thread was started to see how the team responded to Pearl giving them hell and threatening their playing time, in particular Scotty. He didn't fold and yes that is an accomplishment for Scotty because he seems to be mentally weak. Now we will see if he can sustain it.

Great. Another poster who thinks there is a conspiracy against your threads.

All I've said is the over analyzing of scotty after each game is ridiculous.

Exactly right. Hitting some uncontested shots against a complete garbage team isn't a huge accomplishment.

Do you hear yourself with this comment? No matter what you do, do not give that kid any credit at all.

You guys are aware that they won tonight right? Are you really this negative or just enjoy internet arguments?

And getting called out and "threatened" to be benched didn't have an impact.

Butt chewings work wonders when shoddy opponents are next on the schedule.

What do you people expect? You and tvols act like we should crown Hopson the next Jordan because he scored well against a team that couldn't compete in the SunBelt. I give credit where credit is due. If he comes out and plays well against Ole Miss, I'll be the first to heap praise on him.

Oh good lord why don't you over-exagerrate a little bit more. They won by 22 tonight and the most commented on thread is one *****ing about Scotty Hopson. You're not happy unless you're complaining about something. Must be fun at parties.

Stop with your predictable little games, it's played.

I guess that's what you have to do when you're flat out wrong. I never criticized Hopson once. I just said that there's no reason to throw a parade for him because he beat up on LSU.

And who was throwing a parade?

What you're doing is finding a way to diminish anything he does. Like I said that kid will never do enough for certain people.

How about you just appreciate a good performance?

Not diminishing anything. It's called reality. But, go ahead and pretend that tonight was some kind of incredible performance.

Why are we not discussing Tobias? Brian? Melvin?
