I disagree on the improvement by Nico. Considering the $hitty pass blocking, all the dropped passes by the WR's, the inability to consistently get open, he's put up the respectable numbers. Also, on Hooker he was what, 26? Nico will be fine and will continue to get better. He needs his Oline to pass block better and his WR's to get open and catch the damn ball

I agree on Nico. Look back to the cupcake games - our O-line could block those guys and the WR’s could get separation. And what happened? Nico put up video game numbers. If we could block and get separation against good teams, I think Nico would do well. This wasn’t on him.

So, as long as he doesn't have to 'make a play', he's good to go. In other words, as long as the Xs and Os are as exactly drawn up, he's fine.


That's the definition of mediocrity.

Check out where the o-line and WR’s receivers graded w PFF. There isn’t an NFL qb that’s gonna look good.

And those 'grades' mean what exactly? It still doesn't address my point that as long as Nico is protected in his safe space he does OK, but from what we have seen so far, if he has to improvise he needs autotune. I'm not hating on the guy, I just think all the accolades he is getting are way premature... but oh yeah, he's a freshman. puhleeeeeze Granted, if you make a comparison to Johnny Manziel for example, JM's receivers made him look faaaaaar better than he really was. They made circus catches of garbage he threw out. Our receivers dropped passes that hit them in the chest. Nico's got heart, I'll give him that.

We are in a position now where we can convince a proven head coach to take the job. Heupel has been paid well and been given every resource. And we just got embarrassed so badly that we should be questioning our coach. If I’m Danny White, I start putting out some feelers now. It’s been 2 years since our offense has been worth a ****. Flame away, I just think we could convince a good HC to take this job.
