Agreed............should be like basketball and have a deadline perhaps after the combine. Could mess up scholly numbers however.
"The way it's going right now, I don't think the NFL really wants all these guys coming out for the draft," Saban said. "They know they can develop better in college if they stay and play more unless they're going to be high draft picks. It's difficult for them to develop players with the way they practice now. If a player's not a high pick, it's a lot more difficult for them to develop as an NFL player.
"I just think systematically we need to do something."
Senior Bowl executive director Phil Savage, who aired concern about the flood of underclassmen in January, asked Saban what he thought about a "Junior combine," which would, in theory, be early enough to allow players to reconsider their decisions before the NFL's deadline.
"It would have to be from a timing standpoint maybe a little bit different than when the combine is now," Saban said. "Guys could make those decisions. We would be able to our manage our squad a little bit better from a college standpoint of who's going to be on the team ... I think a lot of guys would test the waters and it would be a huge ordeal for the NFL to try to sort through this."
They do, just because you have a job doesn't mean you don't struggle. Tiny did what was best for his family.
"1. OT Antonio Richardson, Tennessee: Due to strong durability concerns, mostly to his knee and hip, Richardson was removed from most draft boards around the league. He needs technique work, but when healthy Richardson has the natural size, length and movement ability to play at a NFL level."

Really wish he would have stayed. He made the best decision from a career perspective, but the amount of OT's being taken right now has got to be sickening to him. I think the upside of Tiny is better than most being taken.
he had to go. really no choice in the matter..
family health issue that requires money, lots of money. He had to try and go for it.
With his knee history, really could not take a chance at another year with no pay for playing.
another year was likely to NOT have helped and more likely would have hurt him.
He made the best choice he could at the time. He ain't looking back but is pressing forward
If was able to make it 2 years on bad knees that still is 420K per year or 840K.. Not a bad way to start your life financially if you don't blow it on expensive cars, jewelry etc.. One of the best things ever was BROKE on 30 for 30 on ESPN.
Agree. Richardson was better off coming out that year (I know it wasn't possible). No one with any sense should have advised him to come out after this season. That said I still thought he would at least get picked up in the third round or so. Painful to see the money he left on the table if he had stayed he at bare minimum gets drafted. He handled everyone he played his soph year. This past year it is said he had some injury issues that slowed him way down...Now kindly **** off lizard lover, and leave bashing Vols to us. :hi:
