If Bray came to Alabama under Nick Saban, sat for two years, then started at Alabama with McCarron's team, he would have gotten an SEC title and a national title.

I don't consider myself a silly Tennessee homer. I make an effort to be fair. I see Bray and McCarron as pretty close equal. Bray has more physical ability as a QB and natural talent. McCarron is probably smarter than Bray and leads a more mature life. That maturity comes out in McCarron's game to give him an edge over many other SEC qb's. If I'm forced to choose, I'm taking Murray then Bray if after talking to him he seems like he may grow up in the near future.

His junior year, he was an excellent QB. One of the best UT seasons ever. Go look up his numbers again. With an incompetent coaching staff nonetheless.

McCarron is a smart kid, and Bray has not shown himself to be very bright, but you put Bray in McCarron's situation, and he would have won as many games as McCarron.

McCarron is a smart kid, and Bray has not shown himself to be very bright, but you put Bray in McCarron's situation, and he would have won as many games as McCarron.

Bray put up a bunch of passing yards because UT couldn't run effectively and they were often behind. McCarron was very rarely in that situation. Not to take anything away from Bray, but let's not pretend that he did something he didn't.
