Titans Owner Bud Adams wants Peyton Manning

IMO, it's down to the Broncos and Cardinals. Everybody else is just for the bidding war. I can't imagine Manning going to the Titans because of Adams (and to the Dolphins for Ross, to a less extent). The visits this weekend said a lot.

That's just my opinion though. Everything is speculation.

But would Peyton really go to another AFC South team to play against the Colts? I dont know why, but for some reason I dont think he wants to play against them. JMO

I can't see how the Cardinals can afford him.

Time to bring home the championship you fell short of in college!

They're will be statues of the man along the highways of the state if Peyton is the one to finally bring a super bowl to Tennessee

They could get Manning and Wayne would be a squeeze. The Broncos could bring in Wayne, Clark, and possibly Saturday.

Really the major thing holding back the Broncos is the Tebow portion of the fanbase. I mean 90% like Tebow, but only 30% would rather have Tebow over Manning. That 30% would cause a loud fuss, the loud minority. But after you get pass the media frenzy, the fan numbers wouldn't take a hit with the fans and value Manning brings. We also need some talent upgrades, but with Fox and Del Rio running the D, I think they will patch that up. The O needs some work as well. But luckily we aren't competing against the 49ers or Texans, and our talent is comparable to the others.

Good ole Bud. I'm so pleased he's yall's problem now.

Once the delusion wears off and folks realize that the guy is solely focused on short term gains, you'll begin to understand that Bud Adams is a steaming pile of crap.

Care to elaborate?

Wouldn't think Manning would want to be creamed by the OL that gave up the second-most sacks in the NFL in Arizona. I'm not really buying Arizona.

I just dont see him landing in Denver, Arizona is where I think he ends up. It just seems to fit better. Dont underestimate Peyton's want to play in a dome either

Based on his visits with the Cardinals and Broncos, I believe there are two things driving his decision:

1. Who he feels comfortable with (Whisenhunt, Elway and Fox) in the organization leadership.

2. Can he win right away, and most likely make the playoffs (two divisions in the West that have been traditionally weaker).

I'm speculating that although he will listen and consider, he probably won't feel comfortable under Ross (and Philbin) or under Adams (rightfully so). I'm also speculating, that Manning's agent, Condon, has requested that Manning listen to their offers for negotiating purposes, although money shouldn't be his draw. All speculation, not to upset to local team.

Mike Klis says the Broncos have commenced contract talks with Peyton Manning: #Broncos Insider @MikeKlis reports team has started early contract talks with P.Manning.

I really doubt he is having contract talks when he has just set up two more visits...

Told that #Titans meeting between Peyton Manning and Mike Munchak likely to be in Houston with owner Bud Adams.
Bud has his sights set on signing PM. Bud usually gets what Bud wants.

It is a good situation for PM, if he is healthy and wants to play for a contender.

If Bud is willing to give Peyton some kind of ownership in the team after he's done playing, I wonder if that interest Manning? At least that's what I took out of Bud Adams' comment about wanting to work with Peyton the rest of his professional career, when he's done playing.

I've heard people say Peyton is more interested in doing TV than owning a team.

Edit: I think Bud is at a point that he realizes he doesn't have much time left on earth and winning a Super Bowl is more valuble to him than making more money for his grandkids.

This is out of left field, wonder if this is just lip service to keep UT fans happy?

First thing I thot when I read the headline over at KNS. Would a seasoned negotiator scream out his strategy for all the competitors to hear. Or would he use smoke and mirrors. I have a hunch.

Bud wasn't offering ownership, he was offering a front office position. Bud won't be alive long enough to see Peyton's post-retirement career.

Was in Miami this week and it was a big deal on TV sports news. Dwayne Wade encouraging the Dolphins GM to get it done. Funny how info gets framed.
