Titans Owner Bud Adams wants Peyton Manning

So, is John Fox taking the Dooley approach to recruiting and asking PM to take all his OVs to make sure he's committed to Denver? :)

If he makes another trip to Denver after his OV, he's a Bronco lock.

We have a good, strong and well respected front office.

We have a good and well respected coaching staff.

We have a great bookend set of tackles. Some free agents will shore up the OL.

We have a good RB and potentially solid ground game to take pressure off of Manning.

We have a decent array of WRs and TEs to utilize in the pass game.

Our defenses is not great, but it is not bad either. We are a couple of players away from being more than good enough to win championships on defense.

Manning's wife's family lives in Nashville area.

Manning has a lot of friends in this area.

Manning is adored by fans in this area.

Does he want to poke Irsay in the eye? What better place than to do it here.

Now we are learning that the Titans are going t pursue Mario Williams very hard. The Titans are not far from being a pretty darn good team. Add those two into the mix and they improve on both sides of the ball an awful lot.

I am not so sure about this. I don't think Peyton feels he was done wrong in any way. He knows it was a business decision. Most of what you see from fans is less than informed about why this happened.

To piggy-back off Z06, Sirius is reporting PM to visit Houston as well.

Would hate for him to go to Houston. Anywhere but there, PM!

Yeah, but they are more likely to get to the Super Bowl sooner than the Titans. They are better in almost every area than the Titals.

This kinda makes me happy.... but simulataneously makes me want to throw up.

To be honest... if PM plays for the Titans, nothing else matters to me. Even though I'm thinking this could completely eff the franchise if Bud goes overboard with him. I still wouldn't care. PM in powder blue would make me climax on a daily basis.

Look on the bright side, it couldn't possibly be as bad as Washington's move for the #2 pick. Crazy!

In recent years, John McClain has become about 50/50 on his information fwiw

Well, they've got the Texans now, who are currently more successful than the Titans. However short lived it may wind up being.

Don't forget that Mike Munchak and Archie Manning were teammates with the Oilers in 1982 and 1983 before Archie was dealt to Vikings.

Chris Mortensen's ESPN story, he says Manning will meet with Miami's Joe Philbin either tonight or tomorrow morning, and with Tennessee's Mike Munchak by Wednesday at the latest.

Well at least it would just be a money issue. That makes me feel confident Bud will be too cheap to sign Peyton. Although he might not be looking at it that way. Having him in Titans uniform will make him more money than well frankly he's running out of time to spend. If he wants a shot at the Superbowl before he checks out i'd do what it took to get him here. Matt Hasselbeck can finish his career somewhere else.

I bet he meets with Munchak in Houston at Bud's place. Maybe that's why some reporters think he's visiting the Texans. Or maybe he is meeting with the Texans. Whatever.

This is crazy.

I don't think a DE is worth that kinda money. He doesn't deserve elite elite money that he will probably end up getting somewhere imo. Will make like Aaron Rodgers money.

The Titans GM is quoted as saying DE is the one position they are willing to overspend for. When healthy Mario Williams is one of the best and at 27 years old now is his prime. Titans need help there much more than at QB esp with Locker ready to step up.
