Titans Owner Bud Adams wants Peyton Manning

If everything is dead even in his mind between us and Denver I gotta give the edge to us since the Tennessee connections.

I am trying not to get too excited until it is official he has a deal with the Titans but all news I've seen today has been good.

Today's meeting was postponed.

Manning will meet with the Titans Wednesday in Indianapolis.

Espin's John Clayton reported that Archie and Peyton's wife want him to sign with Tennessee.

One losing season in over a decade. I am sure every other team in the NFL would be thrilled with that run.

Your problem is you still don't understand why it happened.

Colts pattern... loser--winners for a dozen years or so--losers again (started this year, but will continue for quite some time).

See if you can come back to this note in about 10 years and figure it out from a historical perspective.

Most everyone else has already, but some folks are slow.

If Peyton goes with the Titans, it'd be awesome if they could find a smart guy he could train to beat the Colts for another dedade or so beyond the beat downs PM puts on them.

Tyler Bray in 2013?

First of all, much to your disappointment, but Peyton is not going to the Titans. The Colts don't play the Cards or Broncos next season (maybe you should study NFL schedules).

It's looking more and more like the Titans. Beat downs for the Colts' franchise must be part of Peyton's plans.

Locker...

If we do get Manning, would we wait and see who misses out on a QB and trade Hasselbeck? IDK how much it would cost to cut him and i don't think we'd keep him as a back-up.

Locker's still the future QB in training.

It'd be one of those "know they're going to cut him otherwise" situations, so they really wouldn't be able to get much (if anything at all) in return

4 million would be the cap hit if we released him. Could be spread over two years though.

@VicLombardi Here's what I'm hearing ... money has become a BIG factor in the Manning derby. Wasn't supposed to be. It is THE factor. Broncos certainly have more cap space, but 89-yr old Bud Adams says he's willing to do whatever it takes.

Easy. Doesn't change Broncos stance one bit. They still want him. Just may cost more.

Hmm.

If it bankrupts the Broncos to sign him, congratulations.

I'd say the Broncos make a hard stance somewhere. Don't let the Titans drive it up if the Cards can't go that high. What are the estimates? I'd be upset at anything grossly over $15M/per.

$90M over 4 years has been thrown out in some of the other threads...

Not sure of the validity of sources.

This guy has no clue.
