Titans Owner Bud Adams wants Peyton Manning

No hard feelings? Yeah right. Building a franchise almost single handily and being shown the door after 14 years of service so they can draft your replacement. I think he may be just a little bit upset. He's just a professional and wouldn't state that publicly.

They also paid him 176 mil over that 14 year span and 26 mil last year knowing he would not take 1 snap all season. I truly believe it was a joint decision for him to leave. Why would he want to stay knowing that just about every guy who he has built that with is leaving?

Just a PR ploy... why on earth would PM want to go to Titans when he could play w another team much closer to competing for a SB? Besides any team that would sign ANYONE to a big contract that has had it least 3 neck surgeries , including a anterior cerical fusion is out of their minds IMHO

Yeah, because the Broncos are light years ahead of the Titans and will certainly reach the SB first.

One of them made the playoffs last season and won a playoff game, which team was that?

So you really think the Broncos are closer to the SB than the Titans because they went 8-8 and got a home playoff game because they played in one of the all-time crappiest divisions?

Wrong, Peyton does not have any ill feelings towards the team.

You do realize that Grigson had no say in Peyton right?

Tell me that after you see the smiles on his face during the 4th quarters of the upcoming beat downs he puts on the Colts... with whatever team he joins.

He doesn't have ill feelings towards the players or the city, but he owes that franschise some serious humiliation. And, I'm betting on him to deliver it... just as he delivered that Godforesaken franchise from the pits of the NFL's irrelevant teams.

BTW, I'd enjoy an avatar with PM smiling and a scoreboard in the background showing something like...

Peyton's Team: 49
Colts: 3

:hi:

Not that I'm bitter with the Colts or anything... and it's going to be hard to do worse than being a 2-win team, but my guess is their decisions are spot on with that outcome.

The Colts should easily be favored to get the first round draft pick for the next three years. After that, they may return to mediocrity.

I bet the folks at Lucas Oil are thrilled with having invested $122M for a losing team.

It certainly didn't hurt that they play in the worst division in the NFL.

What was their regular season record, again?

That's half of where I was going. I see the Titans once again being at best the second best team in the division behind the Texans.

I see the Colts staying where they were in the division this past sesason for the foreseable future.

First of all, much to your disappointment, but Peyton is not going to the Titans. The Colts don't play the Cards or Broncos next season (maybe you should study NFL schedules).

Why does he owe them some humiliation, was it the 176 mil over 14 years or 26 mil last season while knowing he would not play a snap?

One losing season in over a decade. I am sure every other team in the NFL would be thrilled with that run.

I didn't know who posted on here Mrs Cleo. Nice to meet you.

I agree the Titans are playing second fiddle to Houston, ATM. I also think the Titans have more glaring needs on the interior OL and just about everywhere on D.

But, if TN acquires Manning they could make a serious run at the Texans for the division.

I agree with both statements.

Absolutely. I will take that all day long, don't forget 80 mil in cap space after next season.

:good!:

Ok. Don't forget, 2011 counts. So losing seasons in 2012 and 2013 will seal the deal.

Man, I feel better about this avatar bet than the last one. Long time to wait, though.

Is an 8-8 season in the next 2 years a push?

VFJ will have already created a new account in which he can freely express his new Titans fandom sooner than the bet is over, anyway.

The bet was losing season, so 8-8, I win.

Few things in life are guaranteed, one of them for me is that you will never ever see me being a Titans fan.

Omar Kelly answers questions: @RealWilliamCarr: Media is making it out that Denver is leading for Manning. - I told you that Saturday. Done. Dream team assembly time...@rickysant: how do you read Peyton Manning? - he's a creature of habit who will turn Denver into Colts west, plus Tolbert & Soliai...@RyanMcQuinn: These nat'l radio guys keep saying tebow to Miami. Do they not know WCO?? - Tebow WILL be traded. Doubt he lands in Miami

Albert Breer: I'm told that Reggie Wayne does NOT necessarily see his future tied to Peyton Manning's. He could well sign somewhere before Peyton does. That opens an interesting dynamic where Peyton contenders could make a play for Wayne today/tomorrow, use him to recruit Manning after.
