'22 TN ATH/RB Dallan Hayden (Ohio State commit)

It’s the same as always. Follow the money. Some of the money is now public tho with NIL.
If I understand it, NIL will be a contract between a player and a business who hires him so as to use his NI or L in promoting their product or service. I see no reason contract terms would be the public's business. In fact, I'm not sure how those terms are the University's business as long as the player does not violate any agreements he has with the University. All that to say that I don't think any of this will be public $ or publicly known unless the parties decide to release info.

Pretty sure it’s somewhat public bc the schools’ compliance depts are required to track it.

We lost out on our own in-state legacy, Dallan Hayden...if he had signed with us just imagine the impact he could have had next year in our offense. I miss the days of seeing his dad Aaron Hayden!
We’ll catch him in the portal in a year or two.

None of the Hayden kids wanted to me to Tennessee. I really don't want any players who doesn't want to play here. In addition, we picked up two really good RBs and will likely sign Bishop next year. We are well set at RB and won't missMr. Hayden one bit.

I guess we are down to comparing his future production to Williams and Sampson now. It beats the "Ifs and buts and candy and nuts" projections we often encounter on our boards. At least there are numbers to compare.

Who would have thought it:

Eric Gray: 70 att - 330 yds - 4.71 YPC

Jabari Small: 114 att - 612 yds - 5.37 YPC
Tiyon Evans: 81 att - 525 yds - 6.48 YPC
Jaylen Wright: 68 att - 355 yds - 5.22 YPC

I did and said as much - we would not miss him and that we had others that were just as good. I really like all 3 of those backs that played last year, but those are crazy YPC numbers for Evans --
wish he would have liked school a little more.

It’s my understanding that while on his visit during the Ole Miss game, this kid didn’t stick around during the “delay” and didn’t inform the coaches that he was leaving.
GBO!!

Starts next season.............Good financially, but sad to lose the in-state rivalries. Fun times at Tech and Martin......
Yes sir, that’s what I’d hate too. I still have fond memories of punching an Austin Peay prick in the kidney in the 800M at the OVC championships at Eastern Illinois when that prick swung at my teammate. Glory days lol

Is he any better than Justin Williams? I don't think so, tbh. Would have been happy to have him, but I'm happy with Williams too.

Williams did his work at a perennially bad program in 6A Georgia which means he earned every bit of his success…

Speak for yourself. I will miss that he isn’t here but I do understand his reservations about coming here and I hold no hard feelings toward the kid or family for him going to OSU. Vols fans need to relax. The kid built a relationship with another teams coaches when our program was, to be honest, in a place of turmoil. Good luck to the young man, I hope he is successful.
