You serious? If a Bama legacy makes it plain he does not value your offer highly you might just move on, especially if you are not convinced he is a fit. How many SEC TEAMS made him a priority? Fahr Saban!

My guess is that his father being a former player made him feel pressure to play ball. He probably doesn't want to disappoint his dad/family and all the other people who think it's a no-brainer due to his elite measurables. Probably does enjoy the attention he gets from it and the friendships with teammates.

He probably also realizes that it would be stupid to turn down a free education but he doesn't love the game enough to put in the work and is just going through the motions.

Football is not a game you can excel at if your heart isn't in it. Lots of conjecture in this post but I don't think I'm too far off. Hope this kid finds something he loves doing and is successful.

A high school football teammate of mine was 6-6 245 lbs and athletic. He sucked at football because he was lazy and a puzzy. Just because you have the measurables doesn't mean you are a good football player
