There fans were pretty vocal with concerns last year. They were ok with a young freshman quarterback who looked promising several years ago but he hasnt gotten better and it always seems like their offense is 1 player. That class is gonna fall apart as we go through the season... They will finish 6-6 or 5-7 this year....and they'll be firing up the coaching search again.
Have you seen their schedule? It’s brutal.. 5-7 or 6-6 is coming right up..
Yep. Plus they have the advantage of not playing Georgia, Florida and Alabama in the front of their schedule every year. If we switched schedules with them, we’d be rolling and they’d be cycling through coaches. No doubt in my mind. They are our doppelgänger.
Miami is such a weird paradox. The region arguably produces more football talent than anywhere else in the country, which would seem to suggest a great passion for football. And yet the University of Miami has the worst fan support of any "Tier 1" football program.
One thing south Florida doesn't produce is quality offensive linemen. Which explains why all the Florida schools are struggling.Miami is such a weird paradox. Those linemen usually don't pan out. Miami, UF & FSU has signed quite a few highly rated o-linemen who were busts.Do what? 15% of the total top 100 in FL was OT/OG/C. The problem with Florida is that every single D1 school on planet Earth knows the secret of Florida talent. SCar, Indiana, Clemson, GA, TX, USC, WA, they all recruit the state.
OL are typically 3-4 Star guys or less. So, its rare to see a lot of super highly rated guys. Typically bc speed is speed, which is the barometer used to rate most HS kids.
FL, TX, GA, & Cali. /thread.
