'19 TN CB Wesley Walker (transfer commit to UT)

Over the last two seasons at Georgia Tech, Walker recorded 93 tackles, two tackles for loss, a pair of forced fumbles and six passes defensed in 20 games. In Georgia Tech’s 31-27 win last season at Duke, Walker registered 10 tackles.

Coming out of high school, ESPN ranked Walker as a four-star signee, the nation’s No. 38 cornerback and the 14th highest-rated player out of Tennessee. Rivals and 247Sports both listed Walker as a three-star signee.

Better than what UT has in the secondary now.............I'd take him.

Walker: 92 tackles /2.0 TFL /6 PD/ 0 INT / 0 S / 2 FF
Flowers: 144 tackles/ 3.5 TFL / 6 PD/ 2 INT/ 1 S / 1 FF
McCollough: 92 tackles / 6 TFL / 7 PD / 1 INT / 1 S / 1 FF

So basically, Flower and McCollough have both had superior production, against better competition. Doesn't mean we can't still use Walker of course.

Think this is more hopeful he can replace Burrell... Kids still using Aloe Vera from getting burned so bad during the music city bowl

Usually I’d agree with that statement but Burrell looked like one of the worst corners in power 5 the last half of the yr and the bowl game. He’s in Marsalis Teague territory right now. He’s been so bad. I’m def willing to bet Walker is not worse than Burrell even if he were to switch over to Corner. Really hope we get Riley too.

If you’re average at safety you can’t play corner. Period

That’s obvious. Point here was just that this kid could prob easily play corner better than Burrell Bc Burrell is complete garbage. It was a knock on Warren Burrell barely being a Power 5 player at best. I’m not saying Walker is gonna play corner. I know how football works.

Burrell is not garbage. Most of those interference calls in the bowl game were BS
