'24 TN DB Boo Carter (Tennessee)

Whether we like it or not, Colorado is the hot new thing thanks to the media and you’re going to see a lot of players taking visits, probably even more of our own commits that aren’t just Boo. Big Noon Kickoff will have gone to all 3 Colorado games this season after this weekend, including back to back weeks at home, and GameDay will be there, too.

It’s in everyone’s face right now and it’s not going to change anytime soon so we just have to keep recruiting our guys and make sure they feel most comfortable here.

Boo has been actively recruiting for us. Is it more likely that Colorado is a beautiful state and he wants to go see a football game?
Nah.

Those dudes have the whole of college footballs attention. And Colorado needs more athletic DBs that play offense too.

The threat it real. Would hate to lose Boo.

But the damn class ain't going to fall apart because of him

Based on what? Have you had conversations with him? Have you heard other posters on here mention it?
I heard it mentioned on the radio. Could it be inaccurate? Sure it could. But there was speculation about offense when he was first being recruited IIRC.

Boo won't make or break this class, but the concern he could flip is valid. From my understanding, Boo has some desire to play both ways. Colorado plays Travis Hunter both ways. Successfully. Not sure our staff wants to go that route. So if Deion pitches that to him, the appeal is definitely there. But, to reiterate, Boo does not make or break this class. I absolutely want him in it, but if he's not, we're still okay.

Other than that, the only other hit is the perception hit. It's not a good look when a player who has actively been recruiting for you decides to visit somewhere else. Other fanbases will jump on this to criticize. Just have to ignore them and realize, we're going to be okay.

Literally no one pays attention to this stuff except us sick freaks here and sick freaks that follow recruiting from other schools (which is such a minuscule amount of fans that it’s not even worth mentioning).

So sure it would look bad to posters on VN - but even good things look bad to many posters on VN - meanwhile no one else would have any idea or even care.

I would think Swain has better sources than VN.
I'm not a big believer that the goal of many of these radio programs and "recruiting analysts" is necessarily to give fully accurate information, particularly if a recruit isn't about to imminently announce a commitment or sign the actual commitment paperwork on the bottom line. Their goal is to continue to generate interest (radio program listeners, clicks, etc).

In the last home game, it appeared more than half the fans were Nebraska fans. That's why they sold out.
always was when I went there and always will be. Fans in Boulder do not care about the school sports. While I am glad to see them at least win again this is a shooting star and will burn out. He will not be there long at all especially if he does not take care of himself,

Deion wont be there in 3 years and his new job won't be the same as Colorado. It'll be a bigger University with higher profile athletes. He won't be able to run off the majority of players, then bring half of UC's roster with him.

Players with an opportunity to play at schools that are already high profile, like most SEC schools, are making a poor choice in choosing Colorado simply because of Deion. I wish the best to players who see his vision and are sold on the dream, but choosing to play for him when they have better opportunities on better P5 teams is a mistake they'll pay for in a couple years when he's gone and pay for more when it comes to potential NiL deals and potential NFL earnings.

Deion isn't a player's coach. He'll bail when a better job opens and leave you behind without a 2nd thought.
