'24 TN DB Boo Carter (Tennessee)

Deion will be a great secondary coach here in 3 years.
What???

This is just idiotic on so many levels.

He's been a HC for almost 8 years now.

Unreal the hate for Deion.

You can love Heupel and respect what Deion is doing. They're both doing it completely different ways.

I guarantee you, Heupel wouldn't say one bad thing about how Deion has handled his business. Or Saban.

Well distance is a factor too.
He wants his mom to see him play every Saturday. He likes our culture.
He committed for multiple reasons.

But don't count out the Deion effect.
And he'd get to play with Travis Hunter for a year. He'd learn the whole 2 way system that's in place for him.

Colorado is a different place from East Tennessee.

And did I mention Deion lol. We'll need to keep recruiting Boo even after he's on campus.

Deion gives himself enough love to balance out the Deion hate everywhere else.

I assuming Boo has plans to play in the NFL after college. Players don't play both ways in the NFL. Long term for Boo, it would probably be wise to pick a side of the ball and get better on that side of the ball and go make himself a nice NFL payday. Don't let a college coach use you up playing both ways in college. Twice as much risk for injury, and twice as much wear on your body in a much more physical game than HS football.

Took it as a joke.

I agree. But you’re thinking like someone who is NOT 17-18

That is good since I am almost 43. 🤣

The thing is, and I know all these kids don't always have someone helping them think long term, but that is the job of their parents. To look at a situation and helping their son see that while playing both ways in high school is one thing, but college and hopefully beyond, it isn't in their best interest. Kids don't always think logically and run off of emotion and social media hype.

Couldn’t agree more. Unfortunately a chunk of these kids have parents who are peers maturity wise. Been in youth ministry for 23 years and it’s kinda sad.

I’m 46 😂

Deion will be the first to tell you he was great and tell you until you believe it....this guy was a star that's why young men trend towards him thinking he can make them great as well...as far as being an @$$ this is correct but Micheal Jordan and Kobe Bryant wasn't the most modest people either.....and Kobe was my favorite Laker well him and Magic..

You hit it. The problem with kids today is they’re being raised by kids. You can’t be their best friend (you won’t, trust me). You’re their parent. It’s a tough job but that’s what you chose.

I appreciate him communicating this out when he doesn't have to do it. It shows a good commitment to Tennessee and thinking long term. Now watch him switch commitment haha!
I like it as well. Tells me one of two things happened. One, Boo pays attention to message boards and wanted to squash any potential rumors about him. Or, Heupel and maybe some other recruits talked to him and straight up asked him his intentions. Either way, this should put everything to bed.
