'24 TN DB Boo Carter (Tennessee)

This kid Is electric. Maybe they’ll have some stuff on offense for him? Travis hunter plays both ways for Colorado. I’m not sure for durability reasons I like that too much but who knows

I really doubt that. This staff has show a propensity to play upperclassmen regardless of talent. Have we started a true freshman anywhere under this staff on either side of the ball?
While true, I think more changes are coming. I think these coaches trusted their development and wanted to reward the older players after the good year last year.

We will see some new coaches and I bet we will play more young talent. We almost have to with so many players moving on.

I hope so, but my fear (based solely on past practice of the staff) is that while Burrell, Hadden, Jeudy-Lally, McCullough, McDonald, Slaughter, Turnage, and Walker all may move on, we still have Christian Charles, DeShawn Rucker, Andre Turrentine, and Christian Harrison, along with any of the aforementioned seniors who may use a Covid year. It won't shock me to see those guys get the first Crack and unless the young talent completely overwhelms them, those upperclassmen will be gi en the benefit of the doubt.

I really want to be wrong. Guys like Rickey Gibson III belong on the field. Portal additions could become a roadblock, as well. I just want to see the best guys play, regardless of class, and find a coach not afraid to play man defense and ditch this soft zone that never accounts for players in motion or out of the backfield. And then never makes an adjustment to stop it.

I’ve thought Turrentine has always looked athletic and good when he played.

New DB coach has some talent (young talent) and they just need to be coached up.

Turrentine looks a little slow to me

But he isn't Jaylen Mc slow... almost any of our other DB's score on that INT return. Dude wouldn't even try to juke a linemen.

Do not confuse how much I said with how much you can comprehend.

But yes, keystrokes were clearly wasted.
I think I remember you now. Always saying a lot of nothing…

I didn’t say Boo is or isn’t special/generational. Or that one necessarily must be to have a 90 yard touchdown in high school.
Lol. Carry on.

Or simply take a position.

I did. My position has been stated. But I'll type slower this time so you can comprehend it:

Every elite high school player does not have a 90+ yard run/return, as you claim. Some do. That's it. That's my position. It's the only one I made and the part of your claim I replied to.

"Some" is not the same as "every." I may have made the mistake of assuming you understood that last part.

So when a generational NFL talent (like Eric Berry, the example another poster gave that I was replying to) has a 90+ yard run/return, that does not prove that EVERY elite high school player (which is not the same as a generational NFL talent, and comprises a much larger pool of players) has 90+ yard runs/returns in high school. THEREFORE, bringing up the Eric Berry example does not prove that EVERY elite high school talent has a 90+ yard run/return...which, need I remind you, was your claim.

History would say otherwise.
every year people are convinced that we are bringing in 25 new starters for the next season. every season, always. no matter how many times they have said and been wrong in the past, or how it gets contradictory/ridiculous.

They go through and cherry pick, well so and so started this guy, and so and so started this guy, and this freshman started here and here, and through 22 separate teams starting a freshman, we should be starting freshman everywhere.

You know damn well
Slaughter, Tank and McDonald gonna come back 😂😭

My hopes though
- Slaughter comes back

- Turrentine/Thomas takes over at one safety spot
- Get a transfer safety
- Either Ricky or another DB transfer
I really hope this isn’t the case
