Chattanooga has produced some decent Vols over the years (Gerald Riggs, Demonte Bolden, Jacques Smith, Kevin Cooper, Jacques McClendon) but nothing like the group of talent they have now. There haven't really been that many elite Chattanooga area recruits that went somewhere else and balled out. The only one that comes to mind is Vonn Bell at Ohio State and Butch recruited him hard. Some guys that went somewhere else from Chattanooga were busts (Jay Hardy). Before that, you have to go all the way back to Adarius Bowman (UNC/ Oklahoma St) and the Bullocks twins (Nebraska) to find any players from Chattanooga that went somewhere else and were any good.
Marty Lowe was a decent qb at Louisville. I couldn’t understand why we didn’t recruit him harder until I saw Heath Shuler. How could I forget him. Not too sure about the 80s and 90s, but he may have been the only Chattanooga area Vol for a long time. I can’t remember any others under Majors or early Fulmer. I guess John Beckvort, if you count kickers.
There you go again with your arrogance. If this staff screws this one up it’ll be beyond sickening
he's 14 with the mentality of a toddler. wouldn't put another thought into his comments. There you go again with your arrogance.
If they miss this kid then they'll find another with equal or near equal talent and coach him up instead.
How you manage to be so arrogant and "know it all" while being a drama queen at the same time... is remarkable. Congratulations....
