Every player that goes to UGA isn’t great at UGA just because they took them doesn’t mean we had to we building a culture and they have theirs… not to say anything about this kid because he could turn out to be great but many go in and get recruited over the next year…kinda interesting how a school that has had some of best safeties in the country the past few years wants a guy, but our staff doesn’t?
What is lagonza?Tennessee moved on as they looked for corner bodies that could play safety. Morgan is a natural safety
If I were to guess, Banks intends to play him at STAR.What is lagonza?
A hybrid
I appreciate what our secondary coaches have done but I also think their is definitely room for improvement
Hopefully talent and speed plays over slow experience this year
Coaches have their boards and all they can do is stick with to their plan…. for the most part.kinda interesting how a school that has had some of best safeties in the country the past few years wants a guy, but our staff doesn’t?

With that said, I don’t know how or why they would not pursue this kid. He’s explosive on offense and absolutely brings the thunder on defense. And he did play some CB last year. But he’s definitely a better safety.
I mentioned in these past few days, that recruiting is based off of need and not individual talent.
I also said a few months back that the state of Tennessee is UNDERRATED this year in talent.
- show me a 4 star RB better than Shekai-Mills Knight…you can’t
- Radarous Jackson is the best WR to come out of Memphis since Marlon Brown.
- Duane Morris and Isiah Groves both are both electric runners that Tennessee would have killed for in 2010 recruiting.
- Morgan plays for a no named school, but his tape speaks for itself.
I still greatly trust Heupel and his recruiting network and their abilities. We have a playoff caliber team in 4 years from being 3-7 in 2020? Haha.
Still this one is a MISS because we didn’t even really go after him. It happens.
No need to sugar coat it..
I wouldn’t characterize it that way considering we didn’t really pursue.Coaches have their boards and all they can do is stick with to their plan…. for the most part.

That's the one position where WM's evals - especially in the states of GA and TN - have been way different than each other. I'd be tempted to say I would trust Kirby but a) He has had a lot of turnover at the DB coach position, and b) he hasn't exactly beaten out bigtime programs for a lot of these TN DBsI wouldn’t characterize it that way considering we didn’t really pursue.
I’d be interested to know the reasoning behind why we didn’t. I’m not gonna say I trust WM’s evals over Kirby’s at this time. But we’re recruiting DBs with certain traits and maybe he didn’t fit those. We’ll see what the kid does there.
