Hey Bruin. Just differentiating between the kind of player and attitude that Pruitt targets and the ones that were targeted before. Agreed, the whole team needs to adapt and overcome, but it's an opportunity for talented newcomers to make a name for themselves.
Nah, when it's a crucial UT player, the injury is always season-ending.
Ok, I don't disagree with you. Do you think that Pruitt has been more successful at recruiting? If we are talking about entire classes, it requires some generalization. I don't think every player in each of Butch's recruiting classes were garbage by any means, but do you think Pruitt's classes are generally more ... what? ... talented? driven? athletic? Or no? No better than Jones' classes?I’m sorry I don’t accept that Pruitt is targeting any different character kid that jones targeted.
They are some bad and some good in both groups.
The real difference is in how they are managed.
I’m sorry I just am not willing to see guys like Trey Smith, Calloway, JG, Chandler, Warrior, both Taylor’s, Bituli and so on be thrown into a group where posters say the head coach didn’t target high character guys. It’s really not fair at all to those kids

He worked out at OL last preseason becuz OL depth...same with Kingston Harris. Never a doubt they were going back to DL...cept from people desperate with the narrative. My expectations for him are lower because they couldn’t seem to decide what side of the ball he needed to play last year. I don’t interpret that as a good sign
It's probably too simple to boil everything down to just a this class vs that class and attribute it to the recruits. Responsibility was directly related to the clown running the circus. No strength and conditioning, no development, etc., was mismanagement at its finest.I don’t think we have seen nearly enough to judge Pruitts success at this point.
I think we all expect better development under this staff.
Imo I’ll take Butches recruiting with some elite developing and a coach that knows how to manage a lockeroom and we are off and running

So, I will revise my original comment:
"We'll see if Pruitt players can handle this adversity better than the team did in the past under Jones."
I'm optimistic the results will be better under Pruitt.
I’m on record for not being a fan of some of Pruitt’s musical chairs with players and positions. Emerson and Harris were struggling in their first season and were redshirt bound. OL depth was dire (they had no idea if Kennedy would be available...or Trey) and they kicked the tires on the two as EMERGENCY options. Lost NOTHING developmentally.Lost developmental time for guys that were never going to do anything but RS.
