On evaluating our season:

While he’s plenty familiar with virtually every aspect of the Vols’ program at this point, he said he’s still evaluating them going into their second season under Pruitt.

“I definitely want to see how their season goes this year,” Baron said, “just to see if everything that Coach Pruitt’s been preaching actually solidifies and starts to materialize itself, and see if the guys just really buy in.”

He added that he will be focused on “not necessarily wins and losses — just progress” in assessing Tennessee’s continued development coming off back-to-back losing seasons.

Also said it was huge to have KL and Coop here, but he had to make the best decision for himself.

Also, maybe everyone already knows, but his dad is on the staff.

A lot of average and below average coaches can recruit. I’m not sold on Day as a coach based on a few games in an interim role. The Big Ten is probably the second best conference in the country. If Day isn’t an absolutely elite coach, he’ll lose games and their insane fan base will turn on him. I for one can’t wait.

The Big10 is an overrated conference. I would argue ACC is better, as it pains me to say.
