The Big10 is an overrated conference. I would argue ACC is better, as it pains me to say.

Acc is TRASH. major TRASH. Worst power 5 conference. FSU is doo doo, miami is average, vt smh. Their top teams besides clemson are syracuse & nc state.

Pac 12 has Oregon (expected to be good this & win the conf), stanford, Washington, & w state has been good. Acc doesn't have anyone except clemson.

Im talking about last year & this upcoming year. When your 2nd best FOOTBALL team is syracuse, your conference has a problem. Pac 12's 2nd best team has been stanford (they are pretty good).

One reason may be baron is actively recruiting for TN..literally called Lawrence and talked him down from Miami to commit to TN haha

Lawrence was committed before he took the Miami visit. Commitment was already filmed.

As long as he ends up here, why does it matter? I’ll answer my own question somewhat for you. I really wish Baron and Hardy would jump in and start peer recruiting for us. Other than that it doesn’t really matter

No one knows the exact timing, but it was pretty clear he had made the UT commitment video before he even visited Miami. He literally got home from the Miami visit and released the commitment video and even trolled Miami. Maybe he had made a Miami video too? I don’t know. But he clearly had UT in mind.

What exactly is the benefit, to the recruit and/or the school, of being a silent commit? Especially in a day and age when even publicly committed prospects take official visits to other schools. I’ve just never understood that mindset. Seems like the school would want it public to boost their rating, perception, and momentum, and if the recruit is really committed, he’d want it public to get everyone else to stop bothering him.
